A+ Don’s Moving is a licensed, insured Cincinnati moving company running our own six trucks and W-2 crews across Hamilton, Warren, Butler, Clermont, and Boone County since 2010. We load it, drive it, and unload it ourselves — your relocation is never handed off to an outside carrier.

How Don got started

Owner Don Reeves grew up on Wooster Pike in the planned village of Mariemont, a stone’s throw from the bluffs above the Little Miami. He spent his twenties and early thirties running an over-the-road tractor up and down I-75 between Detroit and Atlanta, sleeping in truck stops and watching what happens when a customer’s furniture passes through three sets of hands. Every cargo claim he filed was for a piece a stranger had touched somewhere between the load and the unload.

Don founded A+ Don’s Moving in 2010 to put one crew and one truck on the whole job. From a single 26-footer he picked up used off Spring Grove Avenue, the rule was straightforward: a flat written price honored to the dollar, only movers on payroll, and the A+ grade he holds himself to on every relocation. The “A+” is not a slogan — it is the report card he gives himself every Friday before he writes the checks.

Why “A+”

It is the grade Don promised his crews and his customers from day one. Not a marketing flourish — an audit. Every job gets a walkthrough at the end and a written follow-up the next morning, and the team’s standing on his board moves with what they hear back. Anything less than A+ becomes the next morning’s training meeting on the Northside lot.

The roster behind the trucks

We run six trucks and a small roster of uniformed, background-checked Cincinnati employees as part of our full service lineup. The same people build your quote, load your finished basement, and place your bed frame back together in the new house. No load boards. No “matched” crew you never met.

  • Marlene Foster — office manager who writes and locks your flat quote
  • Trevor Hayes — dispatcher routing every dawn start through I-71, I-74, I-75, and the I-275 loop
  • Antoine Walker — lead crew chief on our biggest residential and historic-home jobs
  • Marquis Daniels — crew chief and packing lead for pianos, antiques, and specialty pieces

Built for Cincinnati moves

Cincinnati relocation has its own rhythm, and we plan around it on every job — some of which carry through to specific local Hamilton County relocations we run weekly.

  • UC, Xavier, and Northern Kentucky University turnover — student and faculty moves through the August and May academic calendar
  • Historic homes in Hyde Park, Mt. Adams, Clifton Gaslight, and Mariemont — tight Victorian staircases, third-floor walk-ups, and finished basements typical of southwest Ohio
  • Downtown high-rise condos around Fountain Square, The Banks, and Carew Tower — freight elevators, Certificate of Insurance, narrow loading docks off Vine Street
  • Severe Midwest weather — chains and salt January through February, radar-watching April through June for tornado cells, climate-controlled storage for August humidity off the river
  • Comfortable with UC Health, Christ Hospital, Mercy Health, and Cincinnati Children’s corridor relocations — medical families on tight start dates

Licensed and on the record

Every credential below is ours, not a broker’s. A+ Don’s Moving is an Ohio household-goods carrier with full interstate authority on file with state and federal regulators — the paperwork is in the Northside office whenever you want to see it.

Why the Queen City Books A+ Don's Moving

From Mason two-story Colonials and West Chester split-levels to P&G executive condos and Mt. Adams hillside Victorians — a crew that knows Hamilton, Warren, and Butler County streets block by block.

Severe-Weather Loadouts

April tornado watches, January ice storms, August humidity — we roll up with floor runners, shrink wrap, and pad-wrapped dollies. Tight Mt. Adams curbs and steep Clifton driveways get a smaller truck and slower grade.

Top-Rated OH Crews

Every hand at your door is on our payroll — full-time, W-2, background-checked, trained the way Don runs the yard. Never day labor. That is how we hold a 5-star Google rating.

One Flat Written Rate

Your figure is set on paper before the first carton leaves, and it holds whether I-71 stacks or the job runs late. Long hauls come back as a binding written total — nothing added at the curb.

No Broker Handoffs

Every truck wears our name; every mover draws a W-2 paycheck. Your load is never handed off — one Cincinnati company packs it, drives it, and carries it in.

Fully Insured, $1M Cargo

Registered Ohio household-goods carrier — Ohio PUCO authority on file in-state, US DOT and MC for jobs across the Kentucky line. A $1 million cargo policy backs every job.

On Time Across the Metro

Two-hour arrival window, a call the moment we leave the yard. We route around the Brent Spence Bridge and the I-275 backup near Blue Ash, so your closing date holds.

Packing & Supplies Included

Pack the whole house, the finished basement, or just the rooms keeping you up at night. Cartons, pads, dollies, and shrink film ride on the truck — wrapping starts the moment we step inside.

Specialty Pieces Handled

Upright pianos, gun safes, and antique sideboards get the right ramp and straps — plus a crew chief who has eased them down Mt. Adams steps and out of Hyde Park walk-ups without a scratch.

Your Easy Cincinnati Move

A flat written rate, then loading, then unloading at your new Queen City address — three steps, start to finish.

1

Tell Us About Your Move

Share the basics — rooms, finished basement, tight Mt. Adams hillside curb access, any upright piano or gun safe — and Don’s office prices it as one clear flat figure with no fine print.

2

We Wrap & Protect

The crew rolls up on time, pads and shrink-wraps every piece — finished basements, downtown high-rise units, narrow Over-the-Rhine third-floor walk-ups — and shoulders all the heavy lifting.

3

Move to Your New Home

We drive across Hamilton County or out I-71 toward Columbus and I-75 toward Dayton, unload box by box into the right rooms, and reassemble the furniture. Welcome home!
