A+ Don’s Moving is a licensed, insured Cincinnati moving company running our own six trucks and W-2 crews across Hamilton, Warren, Butler, Clermont, and Boone County since 2010. We load it, drive it, and unload it ourselves — your relocation is never handed off to an outside carrier.
How Don got started
Owner Don Reeves grew up on Wooster Pike in the planned village of Mariemont, a stone’s throw from the bluffs above the Little Miami. He spent his twenties and early thirties running an over-the-road tractor up and down I-75 between Detroit and Atlanta, sleeping in truck stops and watching what happens when a customer’s furniture passes through three sets of hands. Every cargo claim he filed was for a piece a stranger had touched somewhere between the load and the unload.
Don founded A+ Don’s Moving in 2010 to put one crew and one truck on the whole job. From a single 26-footer he picked up used off Spring Grove Avenue, the rule was straightforward: a flat written price honored to the dollar, only movers on payroll, and the A+ grade he holds himself to on every relocation. The “A+” is not a slogan — it is the report card he gives himself every Friday before he writes the checks.
Why “A+”
It is the grade Don promised his crews and his customers from day one. Not a marketing flourish — an audit. Every job gets a walkthrough at the end and a written follow-up the next morning, and the team’s standing on his board moves with what they hear back. Anything less than A+ becomes the next morning’s training meeting on the Northside lot.
The roster behind the trucks
We run six trucks and a small roster of uniformed, background-checked Cincinnati employees as part of our full service lineup. The same people build your quote, load your finished basement, and place your bed frame back together in the new house. No load boards. No “matched” crew you never met.
- Marlene Foster — office manager who writes and locks your flat quote
- Trevor Hayes — dispatcher routing every dawn start through I-71, I-74, I-75, and the I-275 loop
- Antoine Walker — lead crew chief on our biggest residential and historic-home jobs
- Marquis Daniels — crew chief and packing lead for pianos, antiques, and specialty pieces
Built for Cincinnati moves
Cincinnati relocation has its own rhythm, and we plan around it on every job — some of which carry through to specific local Hamilton County relocations we run weekly.
- UC, Xavier, and Northern Kentucky University turnover — student and faculty moves through the August and May academic calendar
- Historic homes in Hyde Park, Mt. Adams, Clifton Gaslight, and Mariemont — tight Victorian staircases, third-floor walk-ups, and finished basements typical of southwest Ohio
- Downtown high-rise condos around Fountain Square, The Banks, and Carew Tower — freight elevators, Certificate of Insurance, narrow loading docks off Vine Street
- Severe Midwest weather — chains and salt January through February, radar-watching April through June for tornado cells, climate-controlled storage for August humidity off the river
- Comfortable with UC Health, Christ Hospital, Mercy Health, and Cincinnati Children’s corridor relocations — medical families on tight start dates
