A+ Don's Moving

A Cincinnati relocation crew built for the Bengals and Reds riverfront corridor, P&G and Kroger headquarters office shifts, Over-the-Rhine and Hyde Park Victorian walk-ups, UC Health and Christ Hospital staff transfers, and a flat figure committed to paper before the truck rolls off our Spring Grove Avenue yard — the A+ standard Don holds his crew to through every Queen City season, plus our own trucks and W-2 movers from the first basement carton to the last upright piano carried up the stair.

Why the Queen City Books A+ Don's Moving

From Mason two-story Colonials and West Chester split-levels to P&G executive condos and Mt. Adams hillside Victorians — a crew that reads Hamilton, Warren, and Butler County streets by feel.

Severe-Weather Loadouts

Spring tornado watches, January ice on the I-275 loop, August humidity — we roll up with floor runners, shrink wrap, pad-wrapped dollies, and a weather radio. Climate-controlled storage stands by the moment a Hamilton County closing slides a day.

College Turnover Veterans

August and May bring UC pack-outs in Clifton, Xavier moves into Hyde Park, and NKU transfers through Newport. We hold timed dock slots downtown and run smaller box trucks through Over-the-Rhine and Mt. Auburn.

One Flat Written Rate

Your figure is locked on paper before a single carton leaves, and it holds whether I-71 stacks at the Norwood Lateral or the job runs late. Long hauls out to Dayton or Louisville come back as a binding written total — nothing tacked on at the curb.

No Broker Handoff, Ever

Every Cincinnati truck wears our name; every hand on the dolly is a W-2 employee on our payroll — never a contractor off a board. Your load is never handed off; one company packs it, drives it, and carries it in.

Fully Insured, $1M Cargo

Registered Ohio household-goods carrier — Ohio PUCO authority on file in-state, US DOT and MC for jobs across the Kentucky line. A $1 million cargo policy backs every Cincinnati job.

On Time Across the Metro

Two-hour arrival window, a call the moment we leave our Spring Grove yard. We route around the Brent Spence Bridge, Hopple Street, and the I-275 backup near Blue Ash so your deadline holds.

Packing & Supplies Included

Pack the whole house, the finished basement, or just the rooms keeping you up at night. Cartons, pads, dollies, and straps ride on the truck — wrapping starts the minute we step inside.

Specialty Pieces Handled

Upright pianos, gun safes, and antique sideboards get the right ramp, the right straps, and a crew chief who has eased them down Mt. Adams steps and out of Hyde Park third-floor walk-ups without a scratch.

Free Estimate in One Hour

Send the details. Someone at our Spring Grove office — not a call bank — writes back your flat figure inside the hour. No obligation. Or request a written quote.

Your Full-Service Cincinnati Mover

From Over-the-Rhine loft condos and Hyde Park Square Victorians to brick ranches in Norwood and master-planned Colonials north of the I-275 loop — every shape of relocation across Greater Cincinnati.

Local Moving

Same-day and next-day work across Hamilton County — Mason, West Chester, Hyde Park, Mariemont. Our W-2 crew stages early so the driveway clears before the I-275 loop or a Bengals game day chokes the ramps.

Long-Distance Moving

One written rate and the same crew the whole way — I-71 north to Columbus or Cleveland, I-74 to Indianapolis, I-71 south to Louisville and Lexington. The movers who load you are the ones who unload you.

Residential Moving

Whole-house jobs for Mason and West Chester Colonials, Norwood and Forest Park brick ranches, Liberty Township and Loveland new builds. Finished basements and attics included. One flat number, locked in writing.

Apartment & Condo Moving

Riverfront condos at The Banks, Fountain Square high-rises, OTR walk-ups, off-campus apartments around UC and Xavier. We pull the building permit, hold the freight elevator, and protect your move-in window.

Full Packing

We pack the whole house or just the kitchen, office, and breakables, with extra cushion for August humidity or January ice off the Ohio River. Every box rides under the same $1M cargo coverage.

Short-Term Storage

Climate-controlled storage by the month so books, electronics, and wood furniture do not sweat through August or freeze in winter. Dry, conditioned, and locked when a closing slips.

Piano Moving

A general-line Cincinnati mover, not a piano specialist — but the crew runs uprights, consoles, and baby grands monthly with skid boards, four-way straps, and four sets of hands. The piano gets its own line on your flat rate.

Loading & Unloading

Rented a U-Haul, a Penske, or dropped a pod? Our crew loads or unloads it tight — for downsizers, UC and Xavier students, or DIY moves to Milford or Springdale. Book two, three, or four movers by the hour.

Senior Moving

Calm, unhurried downsizing for the 55-plus communities around Mason, Montgomery, and Loveland. We sort, pack, and resettle what is coming along, then store, donate, or haul the rest — one flat rate, written up front.

Meet the Owner

A Note From Don

“I grew up on the leafy lanes of Mariemont, watched the planned village stay almost exactly as the original 1923 plan drew it, and spent the better part of a decade driving long-haul before I founded A+ Don's Moving in 2010. The name carries my own grade book on its sleeve: an A+ standard on every Queen City job, so a Mason closing on Friday and a Hyde Park student loadout on Saturday both get a full crew chief, never a tired second-shift handoff. Too many Hamilton County families — UC Health nurses, P&G engineers, young couples buying their first Norwood bungalow — had told me about phone quotes that fattened once the truck was loaded. I wanted a hometown Cincinnati company that puts the flat rate in writing, runs its own trucks and W-2 crews, and never hands your boxes to a stranger. That is the company we show up for every Queen City morning.”

Your Easy Cincinnati Move

A flat written rate, then loading, then unloading at your new Queen City address — three steps, start to finish.

1

Tell Us About Your Move

2

We Wrap & Protect

The crew rolls up on time, pads and shrink-wraps every piece — finished basements, downtown high-rise units, narrow Over-the-Rhine third-floor walk-ups — and shoulders all the heavy lifting.

3

Move to Your New Home

We drive across Hamilton County or out I-71 toward Columbus and I-75 toward Dayton, unload box by box into the right rooms, and reassemble the furniture. Welcome home!

Cincinnati Moving Questions, Answered

The things Cincinnati families ask Don’s office most before booking.

What does a local Cincinnati move cost?
You can book hourly or on a flat written rate, and we tell you which one fits before you commit. A 2-mover crew is $115/hr and a 3-mover crew is $155/hr, both with a 2-hour minimum, truck, pads, and dollies included. Most customers pick the flat rate: studio or 1BR runs $475-$725, 2BR $950-$1,550, 3BR $1,750-$2,800, and 4BR $3,000-$4,400.
How early should I book a Cincinnati mover?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most relocation work. Month-end, the first weekend of any month, and the UC, Xavier, and NKU turnover in May and August fill up fastest. If your date is tight, send it through the quote form anyway - Marlene holds a few crews open for short-notice jobs.
How do you handle Ohio Valley weather?
April through June Trevor watches the radar for tornado cells before he dispatches a job, and January through February every truck carries chains, salt, and shovels for ice events that roll up the river. We start early when severe weather is forecast and protect heat-sensitive pieces from cold and condensation. Climate-controlled storage runs $145-$370/mo by unit size.
Are you licensed and insured in Ohio?
Yes. A+ Don's Moving is an Ohio household-goods carrier with Ohio PUCO authority on file and US DOT and MC authority for interstate work, carrying $1M in cargo coverage on every job. Ask Marlene and we will show the paperwork before move day - no broker workaround, no "matched carrier" disclaimer.
What is included in the Cincinnati price?
Every local relocation includes the truck, fuel, furniture pads, dollies, shrink wrap, and basic disassembly and reassembly of beds and standard furniture. There is no travel-time padding or fuel surcharge added at the end - the flat number we write down is the number you pay at unload.
Do you move UC, Xavier, and NKU students and faculty?
Yes. May and August are our busiest weeks - apartment turnover near UC and Clifton, off-campus rentals around Xavier in Norwood, dorm-to-house transitions at NKU across the river, and faculty relocations into Mason, Blue Ash, and Hyde Park. Tell us your lease dates on the quote form and we will build the schedule around them.
Can you handle historic Hyde Park and Mt. Adams homes?
Yes. Tight Victorian staircases, hillside walk-ups, narrow doorframes, and finished basements to load out of are normal Cincinnati work for our crew. Antoine has spent years on these houses - call out anything oversized on the quote form so we send the right gear and headcount.
Can you handle a long-distance move out of Cincinnati?
Yes. Long-distance relocation runs on a binding written quote tied to your inventory and the two ZIP codes, not a number that creeps up later. Whether you are headed to Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville, Dayton, Lexington, or Cleveland, the same A+ Don's crew loads and delivers, and the $1M cargo coverage travels with your shipment.
